A patch cabinet is a kind of meter box for your data network. It is a collection point where all ICT, telecom, security equipment and network cabling of a building comes together.

So by cabling here we mean Ethernet or UTP cables.

Patch cabinets come in various sizes. Depending on the size of your data network or network needs, we install one or several patch cabinets.

All network connections converge here. This is an impressive sight; such a cost full of cables and blinking lights.

In the patch cabinet, we install one or more patch panels. These are rows with UTP or FTP connectors to which the patch cables can be connected and (dis)mounted. This ensures a good telephone connection and fast internet connection at all workstations. The workstations then have connections to connect computers, printers and telephony.

It is also possible to patch the network cabling from the patch cabinet to another room.

Benefits of a patch cabinet:

  • Your network is clear; cables are easy to label
  • You easily create new connections
  • Failures are quickly visible, problems can be solved in a targeted way
  • A new router or modem does not require you to replace all cabling.

A patch cabinet is also available as a wall cabinet.
We can screw these to a wall at height.
