Failure Honeywell GX-Remote Control App to Android phones

We regret to inform you of a glitch in sending Push messages from the Honeywell GX-Remote Control App to Android phones. It has emerged that Push messages are temporarily not being sent to Android phones from Honeywell Galaxy panels using the GX-Remote Control App.

While investigating why the GX-Remote Control App was removed from the Google Play Store, Honeywell discovered that Google has switched from Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) to Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for their Push notification. Honeywell is working on an update for the Android version so that GX-Remote Control can continue to use this service. Honeywell has expressed the expectation that this should be ready by mid-September and expects the App to be available for download again in the Google Playstore.

When combining the GX-Remote Control App with iPhone, no problems occur and everything works properly.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

We will keep you informed of changes in this situation.
