The purpose of an evacuation alarm system is to quickly alarm the people present in the structure after the discovery of a fire.

An evacuation alarm system is controlled by a fire alarm system. If a fire alarm system is required, an evacuation alarm system is also required. The purpose of an evacuation alarm system is to quickly alarm the people present in the building after a fire has been detected so that there is sufficient time to leave the building safely.

NEN2575 distinguishes three basic types of evacuation alarm systems:

  • Type A: is a loud alarm system and has two versions; 1) An evacuation alarm system that transmits a combination of a slow-whoop tone signal and voice message. 2) An evacuation alarm system that emits only a slow-whoop tone signal.
  • Type B: is a silent alarm system. Here we place attention panels in selected places, there are spoken code messages via a sound system, there are portable receivers for alerting a certain group of people.
  • Type C: is a combination of a loud alarm system and a silent alarm system.

Reliability of these systems is very important. This is why LARCOZ Fire Detection works exclusively with Siemens fire protection products.
Siemens has an extensive range of fire alarm installations and systems. This allows us to provide customised solutions. There is a suitable solution for every building and situation.
