Honeywell update: as of 15-11 2019, the GX Remote Control App for Android OS variants is again available in the Google Play Store.
Unfortunately, the GX Remote Control App, for the Android OS variant, for use with the Honeywell Galaxy burglar alarm systems has not been available in the Google Playstore for some time. Reasons for this are major changes in Google's criteria for applications. On top of these changes to the messaging protocol used by Google, the push notification feature on Android OS variants of the Galaxy Remote was also deactivated.
Honeywell has been working very hard over the past few months to adapt the GX Remote Control App for the Android OS variant to all these changes and requirements from Google and have announced that on 15 November 2019, the app will be available again on the Google Playstore and the push notification service will be reactivated.
These changes do not affect Apple iOS variants.
