The wireless alarm systems from Visonic and DSC feature PowerG. They use the 2-way frequency staggered wireless PowerG technology. The quality combined with the huge range of about 2 kilometres in open field, security and functionality rivals no other system. Communication between all components is fully bi directional and encrypted. PowerG is currently the leading wireless intrusion protection technology.
PowerG is
Smart:
- Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum; 4 frequencies in the 868-869MHz band
- 2-Way synchronising TDMA
- Gigantic range.
Powerful:
- Automatic transmission power
- Automatic transmission path determination
- Green - Long battery life.
Safe:
- 128 Bit AES Encryption
- Avoids interference (frequency fluctuations)
- Noise/suppression protection.
Simple:
- Simple reading of components
- Placement of LED indicators on the components
- Automatically, a repeater is read in.
The power of PowerG
Multi-channel, Frequency Hopping Spread Centre Technology allows the system to switch between wireless frequencies to ensure seamless transmission of secure connections between components and exchanges. Adaptive transmission capability translates into a battery life for system components and peripherals of up to eight years. Large wireless reception ranges allow devices to communicate up to 2 km in open field. This saves costs for additional amplifiers. TDMA synchronised communication techniques prevent messages from interfering with each other by splitting channels into different time windows. This allows more data to be transmitted and devices to continue communicating consistently. The 128-bit AES Encryption protects you from analysis techniques and digital attacks. Other powerful techniques include lost alarm messages, interference (jam detection) and frequency blocking. The system offers potential for large wireless detection ranges. Remote management functionalities allow easy configuration of devices and modules and remote testing.
The Visonic PowerMaster series and the DSC PowerSeries Neo are both part of the Tyco Group. The PowerG technology sets a new standard.
